A downloadable short prototype for Windows

Made for the Liminal Space Jam.
Not recommended to run on a low-end PC due to the game's poor optimization.

Walk inside a quiet hotel at night. You can try opening all the doors you want but no-one is going to answer.

How to play

WASD to move
R to restart, ESC to exit game

Note: This was a proof-of-concept made for a game jam and it is not a full finished game by any stretch of the imagination. This project is not going to receive any updates. Ever.

Install instructions

1. Unpack .zip file in desired location
2. Double-click on "hotel-liminal.exe" to run game
(3. If the game doesn't work at first, keep closing and opening until it works)

The game has a tendency of taking a very long time to start. Please be patient.

Headphones recommended for the best experience.

Windows 11 unzipped and ran fine. Bit of lag to start, lots of extraneous files in the archive, but otherwise, solid SCP or stanley parable-esque feel.

Felt alone and locked out of my hotel.

Thanks for your feedback. Those "extraneous" files are auto-generated by the game engine I use (UPBGE). Some of these "extra" files might get removed for future versions.
